Effective Monday, April 26, 2021, the City’s parks and SplashPad’s hours of operation will be expanded to provide Aventura residents with much needed green space time.
- Founders Park, Founders Park South, Peace Park, and Veterans Park will be open daily (except Tuesdays) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Waterways Dog Park will continue to be open daily (except Wednesdays) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Waterways Park will be open on weekdays (except Tuesdays) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends or weekdays when the neighboring Don Soffer Aventura High School is not in session.
- The SplashPad, the City’s interactive water playground for children at Founders Park, is open on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only from 10:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. to Aventura residents only. Guest capacity at the SplashPad is limited for the safety of everyone and to ensure physical distance; therefore, reservations are required and walk-ups are limited and not guaranteed. With a reservation, families are able to comfortably settle in at their assigned area, which includes designated tables and chairs under the shaded sun deck. There is no cost to make a reservation.
Reservations for Founders Park SplashPad
Required reservations are open to Aventura residents only with a valid and existing account on the City’s Online Registration System (ORS). Residents can reserve a time slot beginning each Friday at 8:00 a.m. To control capacity at the SplashPad, residents must be prepared to select all household members who will be in attendance at the time of reservation to guarantee spot(s). Visit cityofaventura.com/ors to begin and complete a reservation.
Please email parksrec@cityofaventura.com to cancel an existing reservation for any reason so that staff can provide the canceled time slot to another resident. Additionally, please arrive for your reservation on time. Reservations will be cancelled after 15 minutes of a no-show reservation.
