  • County 
    County operations, services and facilities are announced through the local media and respective websites.
  • Schools
    School closures are announced through the local media. The Aventura City of Excellence School and Don Soffer Aventura High School generally follow the same schedule and direction of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

    Flooding is an act of nature that respects no boundary lines. In the City of Aventura, flooding is generally caused by heavy rainfall that occurs in short periods of time, as is common during summer thunderstorms, tropical storms and hurricanes.
