It’s a 5K, done the City of Excellence way! Join us for our 2nd annual Aventura 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, March 2, 2025. The run starts promptly at 7:30 AM at Gulfstream Park,located at 901 South Federal Highway. Event entrance is accessible northbound on Biscayne Boulevard. Free parking will be available at Gulfstream Park, just north of the event’s location.
Our 5K promises a dynamic experience for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you're a seasoned runner, casual walker, or just looking for a fun family outing, there's something for everyone. Enjoy breathtaking views as you travel through Aventura's scenic routes, with tree-lined streets, and picturesque waterfront neighborhoods providing the perfect backdrop for the 3.1 mile course. The Aventura 5K celebrates health, vitality, and togetherness.
Starting now through February 2, individuals wishing to join the event can take advantage of early registration rate of $30. Regular registration will take place from February 3 through February 26 for $35. Last call for registration will be from February 27 through March 2 for $45. Race Day registration will be available in limited quantities for $50.
As part of the pre-race preparations, please remember to pick up your race packages at our Community Recreation Center located at 3375 NE 188th Street. Packets may be picked up on Friday, February 28 between the hours of 12 PM and 7 PM.
Your package will include your bib number, timing chip, event shirt, and any other essential items you'll need for the event. It's essential to collect your race package beforehand to avoid any last-minute rush or delays on the day of the race.
For those unable to pick up their packages beforehand, limited package pickup will be available on race day from 6 AM and 7 AM. However, advance pickup is strongly encouraged to avoid delays on race day.
Every participant who completes the 5K race will be awarded a stunning finisher medal as a token of recognition for your hard work and perseverance. In addition to the finisher medals, we'll be presenting special awards to the top three male and female finishers in each category. The categories are as followed:
Children: Ages 5-12
Teens: Ages 13-17
Adults: Ages 18-64
Active Seniors: Ages 65 and Over
After the race, stick around for a community health fair for all participants and spectators. Food trucks will also be on site, if you would like to purchase food items. Please register early. This event is limited to 1000 participants. Refunds cannot be processed once payment has been made.
