Wondering what to do when school is out? Register for one of Aventura’s many programs during school breaks including winter camp, spring camp and summer camp programs.

Registration

Registration for camps can be completed online using the City of Aventura’s Online Registration System (ORS), or in person at the Community Recreation Center, Founders Park, or Waterways Park.

Please be advised that an Aventura ID card is required to register using the ORS. Get details about obtaining an Aventura ID card.

Spring Camp

The City is offering general, sports, STEM, and tennis-themed camps. Each camp provides not only the chance for campers to make new friends and memories, but also experience a one-of-a-kind adventure over their spring break vacation. Registration is open!

General Camp keeps campers ages 5-14 engaged with supervised interactive activities including arts & crafts, games, sports, special events, field trips, and swimming. Trips are scheduled to the Hallandale YMCA for swimming lessons and free swim, as well as a trip to the AMC Aventura 24 Theater to see Onward, a fun animated film.

Sports Camp is perfect for campers ages 5-14 with an interest in athleticism, soccer, and basketball. Campers will learn skills and be given the opportunity to compete while also enjoying the week filled with an emphasis on sportsmanship, playing with character, and fitness. A trip is scheduled to the AMC Aventura 24 Theater to see Onward, a fun animated film.

  • Camp Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Location: Community Recreation Center

STEM Camp provides campers ages 7-12 with the chance to explore the disconnectedness between science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while their creativity and problem-solving skills get challenged. A trip is scheduled to the AMC Aventura 24 Theater to see Onward, a fun animated film.

  • Camp Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Location: Community Recreation Center

Tennis Camp is ideal for campers ages 6-16 of all skill levels. Campers will enjoy fun, high-quality instruction, improve or learn tennis skills, and challenge themselves on the court!

  • Camp Sessions: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. OR 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: Founders Park

Summer Camp

Registration is now open with an early bird discount of 15% through Wednesday, April 15, 2020 for the City of Aventura’s Summer Camp Program, which includes a variety of special interest camps. There’s a camp for everyone this summer! Campers will spend their summer break making new friends and enjoying plenty of activities.

All registrations must be received by the Saturday prior to the selected week. Any registration received on or after the Sunday prior to the selected week will incur a $20 late registration fee. Art Camp (Ages 5-14) introduces different artists, media and techniques through art history and multicultural appreciation.

Basketball Camp (Ages 5-14) introduces and emphasizes the fundamentals of basketball. From skills and drills to the importance of teamwork, this camp is for athletes of all skill levels.

Dance/Cheer Camp (Ages 5-14) concentrates on teaching technique and choreography as well as preparation for performance at the Annual Summer Camp Talent Show.

General Camp (Ages 5-14) provides the enjoyment of arts & crafts, games, sports, special events, field trips, and swimming.

Jr. Marine Biology Camp (Ages 8-14) introduces South Florida’s beautiful natural habitat through a combination of hands-on exploration and classroom learning. Sea adventures at beautiful Virginia Key Beach Park includes the collection and study of sea animals like starfish, sea urchins, and fish. Water activities include swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

Soccer Camp (Ages 5-14) introduces and emphasizes the fundamentals of soccer. From skills and drills to the importance of teamwork, this camp is for athletes of all skill levels.

STEM Camp (Ages 7-14) explores the interconnections between science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) while creativity and problem-solving skills get challenged.

Tennis Camp at Founders Park (Ages 6-18) provides a fun, high-quality level of instruction where players of all skill levels may improve their tennis skills, make new friends, and challenge themselves. Campers are required to bring their own racquet and water bottle.

Travel Camp (Ages 9-14) provides daily field trips to local attractions as well as swimming, games, arts & crafts, and special events.
